Germany has urgently called on its citizens to leave Lebanon due to increasing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
A spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that German nationals are advised to depart Lebanon immediately.
Earlier, the German Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that Berlin urges all parties involved in the Middle East conflict, particularly Iran, to prevent any escalation following the recent rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, which resulted in the deaths of 12 people over the weekend.
In a related development, Italian news agency ANSA reported that Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has also urged Italian citizens to leave Lebanon.
Simultaneously, several international airlines have temporarily suspended their flights to Beirut, fearing a potential escalation of the situation that could lead to war between Israel and Hezbollah.
This situation comes as Israel prepares to respond to the Golan Heights attack, stating its intention to target Hezbollah without seeking a full-scale regional war.
