Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, said that we must compare Gaza after Oct. 6 with Warsaw and Berlin after World War II.

He added during an interview to Al Arabyia New Channel that during the outbreak of the German war on Poland, and near the end of the war, both Berlin and Warsaw were totally destroyed, comparing them to the destruction seen in Gaza.

He added during an interview with Al Arabiya channel that during the outbreak of the war on Poland, and towards the end of WWII, Berlin, and several other German cities, as well as Warsaw were completely destroyed, comparing that to the destruction witnessed in Gaza.

The Secretary-General did not compare scenes of destruction for the sake of making a simple comparison, but rather wanted to emphasize that neither the Germans nor the Poles were asked to leave their countries after the war to complete the reconstruction, rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

Aboul Gheit also spoke about Japan after World War II, and asked the broadcaster to put pictures of these destroyed cities and compare them to Gaza, reaffirming the rejection of the Arab League to the idea of displacement.
