The head of Egypt's National Press Authority (NPA) Karam Gabr announced that Al-Ahram Foundation will launch Al-Ahram digital portal, which will be supervised by “Clicks Egypt” Inc.
He explained that a protocol had been signed between the NPA, Ministry of Communications and the press institutions to participate in the national information network.
The NBA head praised Clicks Egypt Inc and the new design of the new Al-Ahram portal, stressing that it has surpassed all expectations.
He also thanked Clicks Egypt’s head Omar Khaled, Ayman Hajjaj, Adel Al-Hutaibi, AMAC Manager, Mahmoud Hanaa, a technical director at Clicks Egypt and Mohamed Sayed, marketing manager at the same company.
Gabr stressed that the media content of the electronic portal must comply with the standards of media code, noting that the new portal will be a comprehensive newsroom.
He pointed out to obstacles facing the printed newspapers, stressing that the new portal will be able to address all problems and help in the development of the Egyptian press.
“Clicks Egypt” has also previously launched a new news application for smartphones, named “Zagel”. The news application enables its users to follow the news feed of the day, from different Egyptian and Arab news sources.
“Zagel” application targets utilizing updated technologies to offer a distinguished news service, which covers and update all the news of the day. The application alerts its users with top news once they are published on news websites.
