French Institute in Cairo Hosts "Choose France" Student Fair

The « Choose France » Student fair event will be held in person at the French Institute of Egypt on November 6th 2021, for the third year in a row.

This now major get-together in the Egyptian academic landscape has gathered more than 3000 visitors in the past two years, all looking to know more about studies in France.

Like the previous years, the organizers – Scientific and Academic Cooperation Department of the French Embassy in Egypt, with the support of Campus France (the public agency in charge of promoting French higher education abroad) – plan to dedicate a full day, on November 7th, to institutional meetings between representatives from French higher education institutions and their Egyptian counterparts.

Saturday, November 6th – Student fair: the presence of representatives from numerous French universities and Egyptian institutions delivering French diplomas, workshops on how to prepare a successful application, and Egyptian alumni from French universities

Meetings and workshops for all.

Around twenty French higher education institutions and every French degree delocalized in Egypt (Filières françaises en Egypte, ESLESCA and Université française d’Egypte) will be there to present their programs, from Bachelor to PhD, and to exchange with the public.

University and high-school students will also be able to discuss in person with Egyptian alumni from French higher education, Campus France representatives, and officials from the French Teaching department of the French Institute and from the Scientific and Academic department of the Embassy of France in Egypt.

Finally, many theme-based presentations will take place all day long on various topics such as: studies and life in France, scholarship programs for Egyptian students, French courses and certifications at the French Institute as well as workshops on how to write a successful application to French universities.

English or French speakers: France is made for you !

With almost 40 000 students registered in schools delivering French Baccalaureat or bilingual secondary diplomas, France is an obvious destination for Egyptian high-school pupils.

However, English speakers are not being overlooked: more than 1600 high-level programs in France are 100% taught in English!

Choose France fair has become a must-go event

The event was a major success both in 2019 and 2020 as it gathered more than 1500 students and more than a hundred representatives from Egyptian universities each year. Held for the first time in the French Institute of Egypt in Munira (Cairo), Choose France 2021 will contribute to developing Franco-Egyptian Academic cooperation and help students formalize their studying plan in France.

Sunday, November 7th – Institutional Meetings: a unique occasion to build new partnerships between universities

Representatives from French higher education institutions will welcome their Egyptian counterparts in order to explore new opportunities for partnerships or to reinforce current collaborations. A large number of cooperation agreements have been initiated at those bilateral meetings in the past editions of Choose France.
