On Monday, French Foreign Minister (FM) Stephane Ségornet called on Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu to allow an immediate ceasefire and a massive flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.
Ségornet said, during his first visit to Israel as Foreign Minister, that France's role, as a friend, is to tell Israeli leaders some truths that they may find difficult to hear.
He added: "For four months, the people of Gaza have been living under bombs and an almost complete siege. They are deprived of the minimum aid they need to treat their wounds, protect against epidemics, and feed themselves."
