France will send "dozens" of armored vehicles and light tanks to Ukraine, according to a joint statment issued after Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelensky meeting at Elysee Palace.
"In the coming weeks, France will train several Ukrainian battalions and equip them with dozens of AMX-10RC armored vehicles and light tanks," the joint statement said.
Moreover, it added that Paris is also focusing "its efforts on supporting the Ukrainian air defense capabilities."
It is worth mentioing that, French president received, Sunday, Zelensky on his second visit to France since the beginning of the Russian military operations in Ukraine.
Macron and Zelensky held talks during a dinner at the Elysee Palace, the French presidency said in a statement.
It announced that the talks between the French and Ukrainian presidents focused on the support that France continues to provide in response to Ukraine's urgent needs on the military and humanitarian levels.
