Former Pentagon advisor Douglas MacGregor revealed that a detachment of American and Israeli special forces had been liquidated by Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip.
The invading joint force had attempted to survey the location of the hostages held by the Palestinian-resistant factions.
“Over the past 24 hours or so, groups of (American) and Israeli special forces went to the Gaza Strip to conduct reconnaissance and determine possible ways to free the hostages, and they were shot to death,” McGregor said.
The US expert added that not only could he not imagine an Israeli victory in one way or another, but he considered the conflict very dangerous for the United States itself because of the risk of war with Iran.
Earlier, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed the presence of American military advisors in Israel to discuss “planning” issues.
