South Africa police said on Tuesday that Former Bafana Bafana striker Marc Batchelor was shot dead outside his home in Johannesburg.
"The 49-year-old former player was attacked by two men who were on a motorbike," a police spokesman said.
"Batchelor was gunned down during his way to home by suspects who shot several times at him," he added.
"We are still investigating the motive behind the attack and the suspects' identities are not identified."
It is worth mentioning that Batchelor played for Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa.
