Egypt's foreign minister Sameh Shoukry and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein discussed, on Thursday, 26 November, the situation in Libya and Syria, stressing the need to achieve security and stability in the region.
"Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry, the significant bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt, highlighting issues concerning the two countries and exploring ways to develop them in all fields,” the Iraqi Foreign Ministry stated in a press release.
The two counterparts also discussed, during the call, the latest developments regarding the situation in Libya and Syria.
The two sides also exchanged views on the crises facing the Middle East, and the importance of providing effective political solutions, and undertaking initiatives, aimed at achieving security and stability in this sensitive region.
