Egyptian Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry welcomed his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan, noting that the consultations focused on the latest regional situation, which is witnessing complexity that poses a threat to the countries of the region.

In a joint press conference with Saudi FM, Shoukry explained the importance of coordination between Egypt and Saudi Arabia on developments in the current situation, especially the Palestinian issue.

Moreover, he stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, calling on the international community to deter Israel's non-compliance with any resolutions and its entry into a cycle of violence.

Furthermore, FM underlined the importance to push Israel to stop the violence and war, allow humanitarian aid to enter, and implement UN Security Council resolutions.
