Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, met on Monday with Hisham Badawy, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
During the meeting, Abdelatty congratulated Badawy on assuming his new role and on the start of the new legislative term, expressing appreciation for the close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the House of Representatives in serving national interests and supporting Egyptian citizens at home and abroad.
The foreign minister emphasized the ministry’s commitment to engaging with parliamentary committees to present Egypt’s foreign policy priorities, explain the foundations of Egyptian diplomacy, and review ongoing consular efforts aimed at protecting and assisting Egyptians overseas. He highlighted several recent initiatives launched in coordination with national institutions to improve services for expatriates, particularly through the expansion of digital and remote consular services.
Abdelatty stressed that enhancing the quality of services provided to Egyptians abroad remains a top priority for the ministry, reflecting the state’s broader commitment to safeguarding citizens’ interests and strengthening institutional coordination in support of national development goals.
