FM meets president of Chad

Dr. Badr Abdel Atty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, met today, December 27, with the President of the Republic of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, in the capital, N'Djamena, conveying a message to him from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, affirming the strong historical ties between the two brotherly countries and the desire to advance bilateral relations. 

The minister stressed the depth of the relations between the two countries, and the importance that Egypt attaches to developing bilateral cooperation frameworks and strengthening relations between the two countries at the political, economic and development level.

He pointed out to the importance of following up on the implementation of the outcomes of the summit held between the presidents of the two countries at the end of July 2024.

On the other hand, the meeting focused on a number of regional issues of common interest, as they discussed developments on the Sudanese scene and the efforts made to reach a settlement of the crisis that leads to ending the conflict, with the importance of intensifying consultations in light of the direct impact of developments in Sudan on Egypt and Chad.
