Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting comes within the framework of close coordination and ongoing cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
Both sides reaffirmed the unique and deep-seated fraternal relations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi, agreeing to further strengthen the existing partnership and build on its current momentum.
The discussions focused on the latest developments in Gaza. The two ministers emphasized the necessity of moving forward with the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan.
They also voiced their support for the National Committee for the Management of Gaza and called for the rapid deployment of an International Stabilization Force to monitor the ceasefire.
This move is seen as a precursor to early recovery and reconstruction, while ensuring the continuous and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
Moreover, the ministers addressed regional developments of mutual concern, including efforts to de-escalate the situation in Sudan and improve the humanitarian crisis.
Abdelatty also stressed the paramount importance of preserving Sudan’s unity, territorial integrity, and national institutions.
Regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, Abdelatty highlighted the importance of adhering to diplomatic tracks and fostering a conducive environment for resuming dialogue between the United States and Iran.
Furthermore, he stated that such dialogue should lead to a comprehensive and balanced agreement that addresses the interests and concerns of all parties, enhances regional and international security, and fosters sustainable confidence-building.
Abdelatty concluded by stating that the current priority is de-escalation through political and diplomatic channels to prevent the expansion of crises.
He further emphasized that continuous Arab consultation and coordination remain the most effective way to confront current challenges and safeguard the security and assets of Arab nations and their people.
