The Civil Protection and fire fighters of Alexandria Security Directorate managed to contain a fire that broke out, on Sunday evening, inside the Alexandria Petroleum Company.
The directorate pushed 4 vehicles to control the fire in addition to the fire engines of the petroleum geographical area, and the fire was contained before it spread to the rest of the company, and the area surrounding it.
The fire broke out in the pipes of explosive material inside the company, behind "Haras El Hodoud" stadium in the Al-Agamy neighborhood, west of Alexandria, without injuries or deaths.
Alexandria security chief Mahmoud Abu Omrah received a notification from the Dekheila Police Department of a fire inside the company. Omrah, then ordered fire engines to the scene to contain the fire before its spreads to the rest of the area.
It was found that the fire occurred on an area of 6 by 10 meters, when a crane fell by accident of the explosive pipes, without causing casualties or injuries.
A report of the incident was released and the prosecution office was notified to initiate investigations into the incident
