Finance Ministry Issues T-bills worth EGP 24 Billion

The Ministry of Finance auctioned on Wednesday treasury bills worth EGP 24 billion.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday it auctioned 182-day T-bills worth EGP 10.5 billion with an average yield of 13.384%.

The ministry added that 357-day T-bills worth EGP 7 billion were also offered with an average yield of 13.36%.

It added that it also auctioned 5-year T-bills worth EGP 6.5 billion, with an average yield of 14.541%, accepting higher bids between 14.4%-14.59%.

The ministry issued bonds and T-bills today due to the upcoming Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays' holidays.
