Fighting Between Armenia, Azerbaijan Continues

For its part, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that Armenian forces opened fire at the town of Teter in Azerbaijan.

The region in South Caucasus is witnessing a major military escalation following violating ceasefire agreements between Yerevan and Baku, resulting in casualties.

Meanwhile, Shushan Stepanyan, the official spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, confirmed that there are Syrian mercenaries sent by Turkey to fight alongside with the Azerbaijani forces.

In statement to Al Arabiya channel, Stepanyan added that there are about 4,000 Syrian mercenaries supporting Ankara in the military offensive alongside with the Azerbaijani army since Sunday morning.

According to the Armenian News Agency, the Armenian Information Center is investigating the killing of 81 Syrian mercenaries so far.
