During the flight of El Al airliner from New York to Tel Aviv, the capital city of Israel, on April 29, the US authorities received a phone call from an anonymous who claimed that a bomb was implanted in the plane, according to Sputnik, a Russian news agency.
The higher commandment of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) had decided after that call to take urgent action by dispatching fighter jets to escort the passenger plane.
A well-informed source affirmed to " onemileattime" newspaper that the fighter jets came from four members of the NATO as the passenger plane entered their air spaces.
Spanish fighters escorted the plane up to the air space of Italy.
Then Italian warplanes escorted the plane up the air space of Greece.
But when the plane entered into the Cypriote air space a squadron of Israeli fighters escorted the plane up to the Israeli air space then landed peacefully in one of Israel's airports.
