On Friday, Serbia and Switzerland will face each other in the final round of Group G competitions in the FIFA World Cup 2022 tournament.

The game means for both teams more than a football match as both countries have a history of political disputes regarding the situation of Kosovo.

It was reported that Serbia's team would face sanctions over hanging a flag for the Serbian lands, including Kosovo, in the locker room.

Serbia need to capture a victory over Switzerland to advance to the following stage, on the other hand, a point will be enough for Switzerland to qualify to the last 16 round, in case Cameroon fail to beat Brazil.

Serbia will start with Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, Nikola Milenkovic, Milos Veljkovic, Strahinja Pavlovic, Andrija Zivkovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Sasa Lukic, Filip Kostic, Dusan Vlahovic, Dusan Tadic, and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Switzerland will kick off the game with Gregor Kobel, Silvan Widmer, Manuel Akanji, Fabian Schaer, Remo Freuler, Granit Xhaka, Ricardo Rodriguez, Djibril Sow, Xherdan Shaqiri, Breel Embolo, and Ruben Vargas.

This game is the third that pointed out political shadows after the US vs. Iran, and England vs. Wales.
