Fierce Snowstorm Hits Ukraine, Blocks Various Roads

A few hours ago, a fierce snowstorm hit Ukraine leading the rescuers to announce red and orange levels of danger according to the Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The ‘red’ level of danger was announced in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions as more heavy snowfalls are expected.

The wave of bad weather conditions caused stop of traffic and power blackouts in several regions.

The snow cover makes 30 cm, on the other hand, the speed of the wind increased up to 15-20 m/s.

The orange level of danger was declared in the Kyrovohard region as the growth of the snow cover reaches 20 cm. and more wet-snow is expected.

Therefore, many roads were blocked and many vehicles sank in the snow for many hours before rescuers managed in opening the roads once again.

However, many Kharkiv townpeople were spotted while getting down the streets and having snowball fights according to the 112 UA website.
