The Fencing World Cup for Men's and Women's teams kicks off on Thursday at the New Administrative Capital.
The tournament begins with the men's singles in the group stage and even the preliminary knockout rounds, specifically the preliminary round of 64.
19 Egyptian players will participate in the fencing competitions for men, including 8 players at the expense of the Federation: Alaa Abu Al-Qassim, Mohamed Hamza, Mohamed Essam, Mohamed Hassan, Youssef Fouda, Abdel Rahman Tolba, Seif Al-Ghaish, Suhail Nawar.
While 11 players will compete in the tournament at their own expense: Yahya Madi, Abdul Rahman Haffour, Youssef Sana, Ahmed Hindawi, Saleh Mohamed, Abdul Rahman Osama, Karim Assem, Ayman Al-Ghaish, Ahmed Al-Badawi, Muhammad Bahey Al-Din, Tamer Zain Al-Abidin.
17 Egyptian players will participate in the group stage competitions, with 6 players at the expense of the Union and 11 players at their own expense.
Alaa Al-Din Abu Al-Qasim and Mohamed Hamza will not participate in today's matches because of their advanced ranking and their direct qualification to participate in the tournament starting from the round of 64.
The tournament concludes on February 26.
