Egypt's fencing sword team wins first place in the Arab Championship currently being held in Manama, Bahrain, from January 16 to 19.

The championship witnessed Egyptian brilliance in singles where Egypt's champions succeeded in achieving 16 medals. In the men's and women's fencing singles event, he won five medals. In the men's and women's sword and shish individual competitions, he won 11 different medals
