The Federation of Family and Egyptian Woman in Vienna, the capital city of Austria, chaired by Dr. Ayat Khalifa , celebrated on Sunday, the birthday of Prophet Mohamed ( peace and prayer may be upon him) at a rented hall in the city.
A big number of the Egyptian ladies residing in Austria were keen on attending the celebration which was the first one to be held by the federation.
The Austrian authorities in the end have recently registered the Egyptian federation.
Dr. Khalifa thanked all ladies and gentlemen for answering the invitation to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet.
She also thanked ladies of Board of Trustees s of the federation for their efforts to set dishes and desserts for the banquet.
Members of the Board paid for rent of the hall.
Some other Egyptian federations in Vienna have refused to host the newly formed body in their headquarters.
That left a negative effect on the ladies members of the federation.
On the other hand, the General Federation of the Egyptians in Austria, chaired by Eng. Hossam Bazenah, has released a statement to express full support to Federation of Family and Egyptian Woman.
Bahgat El Obeidi, an Egyptian writer based in Austria and Vice-president of the General Federation of the Egyptians in Austria, said that any event held by the Egyptian community in Austria, especially ones held by ladies of the community should be supported.

He added that the newly- born federation got an expected support from Egypt’s Embassy in Vienna.
Mrs. Randa Peipers, wife of the Egyptian Ambassador received members of Board of Trustees of the federation in the Ambassador’s residence in Vienna.
El Obeidi expected more support of Omar Amer, Egypt’s Ambassador to Austria and her Permanent Representative to the international organizations.
The Egyptian Ambassador does his best to support all Egyptian federations in Austria and reuniting the Egyptian community in Austria.
