Feb 22: Cairo Sees Cold Weather on Saturday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will continue to experience a wave of unstable weather on Saturday.

Meteorologists also predicted that the severe wave will lead to changes in the weather of the country.

The bad spell is accompanied by rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, and a 3:4 drop in temperature.

Light rainfall will prevail in Northwest Coast and North Lower Egypt, at intermittent periods.

Light to moderate rain is predicted to hit Northeast Coast and Central Sinai.

Cold weather and wind activity will continue to Tuesday.

Furthermore, maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in Marsa Matruh, Alexandria, Kafr El Sheikh and Beheira with winds averaging 40 to 60 km/h and waves ranging between 3:4 meters.

Furthermore, the Red Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 meters and 2.25 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Extremely cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at nighttime.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 16°C in Cairo, 16°C in Alexandria, 15°C in Marsa Matruh, 19°C in Sohag, 22°C in Qena, and 23°C in Aswan.
