Mohamed Sbeita, a leader in the Fatah movement, emphasized that the decisions of the International Court of Justice are tied to the United Nations Security Council, and any resolutions regarding the Palestinian issue and condemning the Israeli occupation will face the American veto.
However, there is global momentum supporting the Palestinian cause that began with the International Court of Justice ruling.
During an interview on the "Ninth" program with journalist Youssef Al-Husseini on Channel One, Sbeita highlighted that there is a direct targeting of Egypt and its national interests through events in Rafah and the Gaza Strip.
Despite this, Israel is experiencing internal confusion that prevents it from gaining political or military strength.
He praised Egypt's stance, saying, "Without Egypt's position, the Palestinian cause would have ended. Egypt fights for the survival of the Palestinian cause and the protection of Palestinian refugees."
Sbeita stressed that Egypt approaches the issue with a broader perspective, focusing more on the Palestinian cause than just Gaza. He expressed concerns that the American port in Gaza might serve as a port for displacement.
