Fantastic Beasts 3, like practically every production around the globe, was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Many films and TV series have started back up, but things such as local restrictions, travel bans, and the sheer scale of certain productions have meant that is not the case for every production.
British actor Eddie Redmayne, who plays the leading role of magizoologist Newt Scamander in the Harry Potter spin-off film series "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them", has given an update about the film.
It was reported previously that production on the next installment of the wizarding fantasy was due to start rolling at some point in September.
Redmayne confirmed to CinemaBlend that shooting had indeed begun two weeks ago.

"It is interesting because we have started shooting now. We are two weeks in, and again, it is a whole new process. It's a whole new normal. Testing frequently, masks," he stated.
Redmayne continued: "And I wondered, actually, whether the masks would affect creativity, in some ways. Maybe that was a bit ignorant, but I just thought, as humans do we need interaction to spark from each other?"
"What is really reassuring is that it is a different process, but it still feels like it's fizzing and that everyone is working at the top of their game," he added.

The next installment of the wizarding fantasy does not currently have a proper subtitle, but it is still on track for a November 12, 2021 release.
It will be directed by David Yates and award-winning author J.K. Rowling, who also penned the script.
"I've just finished the fourth Galbraith novel, "Lethal White", and I'm now writing the screenplay for 'Fantastic Beasts 3'." Rowling tweeted in June 2018.
There are set to be five movies in the franchise, which is a spin-off of and prequel to the Harry Potter film series.
