France, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Greece, and Slovenia have issued a joint statement calling on Israel to uphold its international obligations and allow immediate humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, amid worsening conditions in the besieged territory.
The five nations expressed deep concern over restrictions on aid access, stressing the urgent need to ensure the unimpeded flow of essential supplies, including food, medicine, and fuel.
The statement emphasized that international law obligates all parties to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to civilians in need, urging Israel to comply with these obligations.
This appeal comes as the United Nations and humanitarian organizations continue to warn about the deteriorating situation in Gaza, where severe shortages of basic necessities persist due to restrictions on aid entry.
The UN has repeatedly cautioned that the ongoing blockade could lead to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, calling on the international community to intensify efforts to ensure aid reaches those in desperate need.
