Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, he explained that EU is deeply concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In a significant display of solidarity and support, the European Union (EU) is stepping up its commitment to alleviate the suffering of people in Gaza by providing an additional €25 million in humanitarian aid.

This latest contribution brings the total EU humanitarian assistance for Gaza this year to over €100 million, quadrupling the aid provided to the region.

The new funding will be channeled to humanitarian organizations with a focus on delivering life-saving assistance across critical areas, including water and sanitation, healthcare, food, and essential supplies.

This initiative underscores the EU's dedication to addressing the pressing needs of Gaza's residents, who have endured ongoing challenges.

President Ursula von der Leyen made the announcement, stating, "Today, I can announce that we are further increasing humanitarian aid to Gaza by another €25 million.

The EU would spend a total of €100 million in humanitarian aid for civilians in Gaza.

At the same time, the EU with Israel, Egypt, and the United Nations to facilitate more convoys into Gaza, including through corridors and pauses for humanitarian needs, according to Von der Leyen.
