Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed Türkiye’s unwavering support for Palestine during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. The discussions focused on Israel's escalating violence in Palestinian territories and the urgent need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
In the meeting, President Erdogan emphasized Türkiye's steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause. He assured President Abbas that Türkiye will continue to support Palestine and intensify international pressure on Israel to end its aggressive actions. “Türkiye will continue to support Palestine’s just cause and work to stop Israel,” Erdogan stated.
Erdogan strongly condemned the atrocities committed by Israel, highlighting the massacre of civilians, including infants, the forced displacement of innocent Palestinians, and the relentless attacks on schools, hospitals, and civilian shelters in Gaza. These actions, Erdogan stressed, are unacceptable and demand immediate international attention.
