Emirati businessman Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society said that his company is looking for investing in the Egyptian retail sector by establishing commercial centers, hypermarkets, and logistical areas.
This came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly yesterday, according to a cabinet statement.
The Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society is the leading institution in the retail sector in UAE since its establishment in 1980 and manages the brands of the largest hypermarkets and supermarkets in the country, namely: "Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society," "Spar" and Megamart, serving more than 50,000 customers at a daily rate.
During the meeting, Al-Ghafli expressed the company's aspiration to invest in Egypt in the retail sector through the establishment of commercial malls and hypermarkets, as well as investing in logistical areas.
The Emirati businessman presented his visions regarding investment in these projects, which was welcomed by the Prime Minister, and assigned the concerned ministers to follow up these important files.
