Elsewedy University of Technology (SUT), recognized as Egypt's inaugural Polytechnic University, has recently expanded its academic horizon with the introduction of innovative programs tailored for both local and international students. During a meticulously organized media tour at its sprawling 27-square-kilometer campus located on the Cairo Ismailia Desert Road, the university showcased its ultra-modern facilities and laboratories equipped with the latest technologies that are set to redefine the educational landscape in Egypt.
Highlighting the event was the announcement of two new programs - the Arts and Design Technology Program and the Energy Program. These additions are a testament to SUT's commitment to nurturing creativity and providing a forward-thinking educational environment for its students. "With the successful completion of our university's first development phase, we are thrilled to announce that SUT is now fully operational with top-tier services and facilities," stated Mrs. Hanan ElRihany, CEO of Elsewedy EDTECH and a member of the SUT Board of Trustees.
SUT prides itself on a unique educational approach that emphasizes practical learning, with 60% of program content dedicated to hands-on applications. This methodology aligns with the international Polytechnic model, ensuring students acquire knowledge and skills applicable in real-world scenarios. "Our campus is designed to accommodate around 15,000 students, and we've seen a rapid enrollment of 550 students from Egypt and abroad, reflecting the appeal of our distinctive educational offerings," ElRihany added.
In response to the government's initiative to equip young talent with modern scientific and professional specializations, SUT has introduced these new technology programs. "These programs are part of our effort to meet the demands of both local and global markets, providing our students with a broader spectrum of specializations," commented Prof. Ayman Bahaa Eldin, President of SUT.
SUT's strategic partnerships with key industry players enable students to gain practical experience throughout their academic journey, further enhancing their employability prospects. Upon graduation, students will receive dual certification - a technological degree accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in Egypt and a Certificate of Recognition from Amity University Dubai, underscoring their international expertise in their chosen fields.
SUT is also extending its educational reach to international students through its "International Student Program," further establishing its position as a leading institution in polytechnic education not only in Egypt but on a global scale. The university's collaboration with Amity University Dubai signifies a pioneering step towards elevating higher education in Egypt by adopting a globally recognized educational model.
