El-Ganainy Reveals if Upcoming Egyptian Derby will be Held in UAE

Amr El-Ganainy, interim president of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed that the upcoming clash between El-Ahly and Zamalek which will take place sometime after the Egyptian Super Cup will not be held in the United Arab Emirates due to the regulations of the EFA.

The Super Cup was agreed upon to be held in the United Arab Emirates after current EFA member Mohamed Fadl, alongside Hossam El-Zanaty the director of competitions and Yousra Shura, headed to Abu Dhabi on the 3rd of January and inspected several stadiums before agreeing upon the Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium.

The match is scheduled to be held at 9:00 pm Thursday the 20th of February at the mentioned stadium, which Fadl called the most beautiful stadium he has ever seen and a pride to all Arabs.

On his part, Aref El-Awany, head of the Abu Dhabi Council, revealed that he is honored to host the strongest Arab derby between Egyptian giants Ahly and Zamalek, assuring his utmost excitement for the mega clash.
