The Egyptian Hotel Association (EHA) dismissed reports about a British girl's infection with E.coli during her visit to Egypt.

In a statement on Saturday, EHA said that the circulated incident happened in 2017 not during the current period, pointing out that according to the English newspapers, no medical report proved that the girl was infected by this bacteria after she had been examined whether in Egypt or the UK.

"An international health and safety firm had examined food, water and beverage at the hotel, where the girl holidayed, approving they are absolutely safe and sound," the statement added.

The association regretted spreading such rumors in this time in light of Egypt's strong restoration of tourism flow, urging media outlets to verify the authenticity of reports before publishing them.

Earlier in July, the Sun newspaper reported that Daisie-Rae, 2, infected with E.coli during her family's trip in Egypt.
