The advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Supply and others were arrested on Tuesday within a large corruption network scandal.
The advisor was responsible for follow-up and distribution of stocks, including sugar.
Ahmed Moussa, TV presenter on Sada El Balad channel, said on Tuesday the Administrative Control Authority uncovers a corruption network in the Ministry of Supply, headed by the Advisor to the Minister of Supply for Control and Supply, along with a corruption network that includes approximately 8 employees.
Mousa said that the corruption network includes officials in the Ministry of Supply and officials in private companies.
He added that they are currently accused and being investigated before the Supreme State Security Court, pointing out that 90 tons of sugar were confiscated from one of the packing factories.
