Egypt’s national shooting team clinched two bronze medals at the World Shooting Grand Prix in Europe, marking a new milestone for the country’s sporting achievements.

Egyptian shooter Martin Rami took third place in the individual event after a fierce contest against competitors from the United States, France, Britain, Argentina, Portugal and Italy. Rami was the only Egyptian to reach the podium, proudly raising Egypt’s flag during the medal ceremony.

The Egyptian squad, led by Rami, also secured bronze in the team competition, reinforcing Egypt’s growing presence on the international shooting stage.

The Grand Prix, held from Sept. 3 to 7, brought together more than 350 athletes from 20 countries across the globe, including the United States, Argentina, Italy, France, Portugal, England, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Libya.

Hazem Hosny, president of both the Egyptian and African Shooting Federations, praised the achievement as “the fruit of relentless effort and determination by Egypt’s champions, backed by strong state support for sports and athletes.” He added that the federation will continue investing in youth development and talent scouting to secure Egypt’s future in global competitions.

The World Shooting Championship is set to begin tomorrow, with more than 400 shooters expected to compete.
