Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty urged Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to step up efforts to push forward negotiations for the second phase of the Gaza agreement. Speaking to Qatar News Agency, he emphasized that the deal, brokered by Egypt and Qatar, consists of three stages, but only the first phase has been implemented. He warned that one party is delaying its commitments, threatening the progress of the agreement.

Abdelatty stressed that both sides of the deal must fully comply, with a particular focus on Israel fulfilling its obligations. He highlighted that Egypt and Qatar played a crucial role in securing the initial ceasefire, but more international pressure is needed to ensure the agreement moves forward and prevent further instability in Gaza.

He called on the United States to play an active role, noting that the Trump administration was instrumental in securing the original ceasefire agreement. Egypt expects Washington to continue its diplomatic efforts to enforce the terms of the deal and support regional stability.

Abdelatty also announced a new Egyptian visa policy targeting foreign officials involved in facilitating irregular migration to Egypt. This move is part of a broader effort to tighten border security and combat illegal migration networks.
