Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has stressed the scale of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, saying the territory requires no fewer than 700 aid trucks every day to meet the urgent needs of its population.
Speaking at a joint press conference with the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Abdelatty underlined the critical importance of reaching a ceasefire in Gaza, describing it as the only way to halt the bloodshed and ensure consistent humanitarian access.
The minister also reaffirmed Egypt’s rejection of Israeli expansionist policies in the occupied territories, which he said only worsen the crisis and obstruct efforts to achieve peace.
