Egypt's exports of medical supplies and cosmetics witnessed an increase of 30.4%; during the first half of 2022.
These exports amounted to $450 million compared to $345 million over the same period last year.
The Export Council for Medical Industries stated, in a statement today, Friday, that "cosmetics" exports increased during the first half of 2022, with an increase of 72 percent over the first half of 2021, and exports of "medical supplies and devices" increased by about 13 percent.
The statement revealed that pharmaceuticals'" exports increased by 42% during the first half of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
It added that the exports of medical industries increased in a number of countries during the first half of 2022, as they grew in Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, and Arab countries such as Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Tunisia, Bahrain, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Jordan, and African countries such as Tanzania, Rwanda, Djibouti, and Burundi. Benin, Ghana, Congo, Brazzaville, Sudan, Senegal, some European countries such as Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Latin American countries such as Brazil.
