Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Dr. Badr Abdel Atty and Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Maitama Tuggar praised the strong relations between the two countries.
During their meeting, on the sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Tokyo, Japan, the two ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing existing cooperation paths and exploring new avenues for collaboration, particularly in the economic, trade, and investment sectors, while also boosting the role of the private sector.
Abdel Atty exchanged views with his Nigerian counterpart on strengthening the peace and security infrastructure in Africa, stressing that Egypt will always support the stability and prosperity of African nations and their interests in all regional and international forums.
The meeting also addressed key regional and international issues of mutual interest and developments in the Sahel and West Africa, including security challenges and their impacts.
