Egyptian Engineering Industries Exports Grew by 26% in First Two Months of 2022

The Export Council for Engineering Industries announced that the sector’s exports during the months of January and February 2022 increased by 26%, reaching $583.5 million, compared to $464.9 million for the same period in 2021.

In its monthly report, the council indicated that the sector’s exports rose by 26% in February 2022 compared to the same month in 2021, reaching $ 304 million in February 2022, compared to $ 241.3 dollars in February 2021.

The Council's report stated that the most important sectors whose exports increased from 2022 until the end of February compared to the same period in 2021 are electrical appliances 61%, cables 62%, household appliances 23.5 percent, metals 151 percent, and machinery and equipment 149 percent.

And regarding the most important countries that increased engineering exports in the same period, in Europe are the United Kingdom (UK) - Slovakia - France - Germany - Spain - the Czech Republic).

In Asia, the countries that received the Egyptian exports are Saudi Arabia - the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - Iraq - Jordan - Kuwait - Lebanon - Pakistan - China - Oman (Africa) Libya - Ghana - Cote d'Ivoire.
