Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call on Tuesday, March 3, with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi to review the rapidly evolving regional situation and explore ways to contain rising tensions.
During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on enhancing joint coordination to address the current crisis. Abdelatty stressed the urgent need for serious efforts to de-escalate tensions, warning of the catastrophic consequences of the region sliding into comprehensive instability.
The Egyptian foreign minister also affirmed Cairo’s full solidarity with Oman and all Arab states in the face of recent attacks, reiterating Egypt’s firm support for the sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity of Arab countries.
Both ministers underscored the importance of all parties exercising maximum restraint and prioritizing dialogue along with political and diplomatic solutions. They also emphasized the need for full adherence to international law and the United Nations Charter to help restore stability and prevent a wider military confrontation in the region.
