Amr Abo El Enein, interim chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company said on Tuesday that the flag carrier is seeking to reach more than 100 aircraft in its fleet, according to CNBC Arabia.
Abou El-Enein confirmed that the funding will be available directly in the event of an agreement to purchase the aircrafts.
In a related context, it is reported that EgyptAir and OEMServices had signed a contract yesterday with the aim of cooperating in the provision of various spare parts units for the EgyptAir fleet, provided that EgyptAir Maintenance and Technical Works unit would supervise the implementation of the contract, which extends for several years.
On his part, Amr Nabil, the company’s CEO said that contracting with the OEM Service contributes to obtaining a distinguished technical service represented in providing spare parts for some of the company’s fleet aircraft, in a way that ensures the sustainability and reliability of the aircraft’s operation.
