Minors under the age of 18 will not be allowed to travel outside Egypt to any other destination without their guardian or parent as of January 1, 2024.

According to instructions issued by the General Department of Passports, Immigration and Nationality to all airlines operating in Egypt, it has been decided that minors under the age of 18 will not be allowed to travel alone.

In the event that a minor under the age of 18 travels alone, he must obtain prior permission from the Communications Department of the General Department.

As for sports teams that have obtained a decision from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the necessity of having an official stamp on the passport, they can travel without obtaining prior travel clearance.

As for sports teams that carry a letter from their federation, they must obtain prior permission from the department.

EgyptAir also announced that it has been decided not to allow minors under the age of 18 to travel outside Egypt to any other destination without their families.
