Egypt has been selected to host the seventh edition of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, the largest international gathering of constitutional and supreme courts.
President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Counselor Boulos Fahmy, said the decision to hold the conference in Egypt was announced at the conclusion of the current session held in Madrid, Spain, attended by delegations from 125 countries.
Fahmy said hosting the conference is a major achievement for Egypt on both the judicial and diplomatic levels. He added that the selection reflects international confidence in the independence of Egypt’s constitutional judiciary, its protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, and the country’s stability and security.
