The Egyptian national team won 20 medals in the African Championship for Romanian, Women's, and Freestyle Wrestling for juniors under 17 and 20 years, 15 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and a bronze medal.
The tournament was held in Tunis, from 15 to 21 May.
On the first day of the tournament, the team won 9 gold medals in Roman wrestling, "Abdel Fattah Al-Arabi, Ahmed Abdel Bari Bakri, Mohamed Hassan Ahmed, Karim Ayman Jaber, Omar Mohamed Hussein, Mohamed Ayman Jaber, Mohamed Abdel Nabi Hegazy, Youssef Ahmed Qadri, Saif Sameh Al-Ashmawy."
The players won 6 medals in the women's wrestling competitions, "Mawaddah Hamed, Maryam Abu Hashem, Manar Saeed Mohammed, Sabah Gomaa, and two silvers, Malak Osama Abdel Aal, Gharam Ihab Gharib."
On the second day of the freestyle wrestling competitions, the Egyptian team won 5 medals, two gold medals won by Fares Diaa Hassan, Marwan Ihab Thabet, two silver medals won by Kamal Abdo and Ismail Hamed Fahmy, and a bronze medal won by Mohamed Ayman Gaber
