Egypt Welcomes Sudan's Constitutional Declaration

Egypt welcomed on Sunday the Sudanese concurrence on the constitutional declaration for another time of transitional government.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry lauded the understanding between Sudan's Freedom and Change Alliance and the Transitional Military Council (TMC), portraying the arrangement as a significant advance toward accomplishing security and solidness in Sudan.

"Egypt completely underpins the decisions and yearnings of the Sudanese as well as the state institutions," the statement said, adding Cairo will keep on supporting the Sudanese people.

The ongoing advances taken in Sudan, including the concession to the protected presentation and the consent to shape a regular citizen government, demonstrate that Sudan is back on the established way, the announcement noted.

"After these ongoing measures, the suspension of Sudan's participation in the African Union ought to be lifted," it said.

The AU Envoy to Sudan Mohamed Hacen Lebatt on Saturday said that Sudan's Freedom and Change Alliance and the TMC reached a full concurrence on the constitutional declaration.
