Egypt's Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoY) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations in order to support Egyptian youth and refugees in Egypt.

During the ceremony, Sobhi highlighted Egypt's important role in hosting refugees and helping them to establish a decent livelihood. He also emphasized the significance of sports in integrating refugee youth and the role of training and rehabilitation programs in enabling them to find job opportunities.

Sobhi expressed that the memorandum of understanding is in line with the Ministry's vision to transform youth centers into comprehensive spaces that cater to the needs of young people, including refugees residing in Egypt.

"These spaces will provide young people with the necessary resources to enhance their digital skills while also emphasizing the value of sports through various activities," said Sobhi.
