Egypt to See Unstable Weather on Saturday, EMA Releases Warnings

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that Egypt will see unstable weather conditions on Saturday, and it released several warnings of heavy thunderstorms on the northern coast, in addition to the presence of high waves in the Mediterranean.

Moreover, the state will see more drop in the temperatures for at least four degrees to be the first case of unstable weather conditions and temperatures decrease in this season due to the arrival of cold seasonal winds from the European continent.

Cool weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, and North Upper Egypt, during daylight hours on Saturday,

On the other hand, upper Egypt and Sinai will see moderate weather as the temperatures will fall to be below 30. 

During night hours, cooler weather is predicted to prevail at the earliest hours in most parts of the country; it would be cold in the late nighttime hours.

In the same context, EMA released several guidelines to citizens to follow during being outdoors in the time of thunderstorms and heavy showers such as avoiding standing below high trees, and high commercial flayers, avoiding touching any street light spots, being distant away from glass windows, and metal doors during the thunderstorms, leaving spaces between the surrounded cars on the road while driving with using the car lights, staying inside an indoor place during rain is preferable.

Furthermore, the Director of the Center of Analysis and Weather Forecasts Dr. Mahmoud Shahin said that Egypt will see more temperatures drop, and he asked residents to wear winter clothes.

Therefore, 6 Egyptian governorates announced suspending study at all schools for students, and teachers only for one day, Saturday, due to the expected unstable weather conditions. The six governorates are Alexandria, Demiatte, Buhaira, Matrouh, Kafr El Sheikh, and Daqahlia.
