Hassan Shehata is the new coach of Egypt after the sacking of the former coach Javier Aguirre, an informed source said on Tuesday.
The source added that the minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobh held a secret meeting with Shehata in the presence of former player Ahmed Hassan.
“Later, Shehata will be announced as Egypt’s new coach,” the source asserted.
It worth mentioning that Shehata led the Pharaohs before to achieve three consecutive AFCON titles in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
The Pharaohs suffered a shock defeat by South Africa in the last-16 of the Africa Cup of Nations, held in Egypt.
