Egypt's national football team, under coach Rui Vitória, will lock horns with Algeria in a friendly encounter at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, UAE.

The match, scheduled for 7 PM Cairo time today, is a significant part of Egypt's preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Recently, Egypt celebrated a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Zambia, with Hamdi Fathi netting the only goal. As they return to the same stadium, the Pharaohs aim to use the Algerian friendly as a rehearsal for their upcoming major tournaments.

Post their match against Zambia, Coach Vitória held a meeting with his squad. The goal was twofold: address mistakes from the previous match and strategize for Algeria. With the African Nations competition looming, Vitória eyes tonight's match as a chance to fine-tune tactics and claim another victory.

Insider sources suggest potential shifts in Egypt's lineup against Algeria. Vitória might bring in Mohamed Hamdi on the left flank, while Ahmed Sayed 'Zizo' could replace Hamdi Fathi in midfield, partnering with Mahmoud Hamada and El Nenny.

The anticipated lineup for Egypt features Mohamed El Shenawy as the shot-stopper. Defenders may include Mohamed Hani, Ali Gabr, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, and Mohamed Hamdi. The midfield trio could consist of Mohamed El Nenny, Ahmed Sayed 'Zizo', and Mahmoud Hamada, with Trezeguet, Mohamed Salah, and Mostafa Mohamed leading the attack.
