Egypt’s national shooting team arrived safely in Ningbo, China, to begin its campaign at the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup, running Sept. 7–15 with 320 athletes from 42 nations.
Led by delegation chief Maj. Dr. Mahmoud Saif El-Din, a board member of the Egyptian Shooting Federation, the squad features four shooters: Mohamed Hamdy and Mervat Anwar in the 10m air rifle, and Omar Khaled and Hala El-Gohary in the 10m air pistol. Coaches Amgad Hussein (rifle) and Ahmed Saif (pistol) head the technical staff, while Zaki Abdullah serves as team manager.
Federation president Hazem Hosny personally oversaw final preparations, voicing confidence in the athletes’ ability to compete strongly and raise Egypt’s profile on the world stage.
The World Cup serves as one of the last qualifying events for the ISSF World Cup Final in Doha this December, with event winners securing direct spots.
